TRAVEL REVIEW: Corriefodly Holiday Park, Perthshire

Corriefodly Holiday Park is a Wood Leisure Park based near Blairgowrie in Perthshire.

We have stayed with Wood Leisure a number of times, we find them great value and booking has always been efficient. We’ve stayed in a static caravan each time, twice (including this stay) with a hot tub. In each visit we’ve been impressed by clean and well equipped properties, and great customer service. The hot tubs are clean and well- maintained, with a daily (non intrusive) visit from staff to check on them.

We chose Corriefodly this time because of its location; it’s less than a 40 minute drive to Pitlochry, Dunkeld and to Glenshee Ski resort. We knew we’d be able to enjoy some good day trips out!

Before arrival at the park, we were sent information about our stay and a great app that gave us all the information about the park as well as suggestions for activities to enjoy in the local area.

Our accommodation was a two bedroom static with hot tub. There was plenty of space, and bed linen and towels were provided (we needed our own for the hot tub).

The outside area is was the masterpiece though! The living room doors opened out to the most wonderful balcony overlooking the River Ardle, with a private fenced area with outdoor dining and the hot tub.

At the park there was an outdoor playarea situated next to reception, with a few picnic benches to sit on whilst the children played. Indoors, there was a games room which had table tennis and pool (£1), as well as a small soft play for little ones.

Within walking distance, there’s a post office/small shop and the Bridge of Cally hotel. There’s no pavement along the road, but there is a lovely riverside walk which takes about 10 minutes (about 750m).

The hotel has lovely deco inside to go for food or drinks (although be prepared for the £7.50 a pint price!), And the Bridge room had a number of games and jigsaws for the children to play with. There was a large menu and the kids menu was great.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Corriefodly Holiday Park and would certainly return! I’ll be adding inspiration for things to do on a stay in Perthshire soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
